As you inhale the smoke travels through the fixed downstem where it first reaches the slitted showerhead diffuser chamber. The slits break up the smoke into smaller particles, increasing surface area, which refines the smoke and cools it down significantly. As the smoke moves up, it encounters the second percolator, the 6-arm tree percolator, for another round of filtration. After the second percolator the smoke passes the slitted splash guard, which keeps water from reaching the thick, comfortable mouthpiece. A few ice notches are featured in the tube, which allow you to place a few ice cubes in the tube for a hit so fresh it might give you a brain freeze.
